The dinner has finally come to an end but the night is still young.

Perseverance

Got the message from the fortune cookies that my friend gave me...the message certainly comes at a great timing for me at this point of time. :)
These few days I have been thinking about what Bro Chris said back on Sunday when he talked to us. I was blurred then, too saturated with so many things back there in my mind. He had highlighted that I wasn't spiritual enough and I need to rise up, to dedicate myself to God for the next 3 months. I know about it and still there is dryness in my spiritual life. I wanted to change but I kinda lost myself to this world, to my studies and work.

The past few days had been a disaster for me. I was so nervous that I kinda flung my AA306 presentation on Monday. Today was yet another presentation for me for AA206. And tomorrow the big quiz of AA306 will come into the picture. I am so tired, so so so tired. Frankly speaking, I feel like a sheep without sheperd right now. Totally lost.

Up to now I have no idea where I can go next. I need to rearrange my life. I need to focus on what I need to focus on. Can I pull through all these things? I know I can't do it myself without God's help.

Thank God that there are still things I can look forward to like Emerge and my Europe trip in May. I AM telling myself to work hard and persevere through juz these two months, for the enjoyment and satisfaction that I can get from my trip will justify the work and effort I put into my studies right now.

I remeber Yehui has asked why now then that Bro Chris need to talk to us about success, about dedicating ourselves to God for these next 3 months, and why not earlier or later.

For me, I understand the reason.

It certainly comes at a good timing for me at this point of time that I am starting to lead my life on my own. I need to find my way back to God without falling off from the track soon again.

Thank God for speaking to me through Bro Chris.

CNY @ HK! (17-18 Feb)

Victoria Harbour
This is one of my most favourite place in Hong Kong. :) It is the PIG's year at last...mine is soon to come...lol
Star Walk / Peninsular Hotel of Hong Kong -- It is a representative of Hong Kong with its rich history and it high price tag / "Lao Pok" Car from FordMy family reunion dinner @ Genki Sushi
Hahaha...I LOVE this unconventional family dinner manz...*bleah* :P
I LOVE my family!!!
Thank God for blessing me with such wonderful parents...*grinz* :DD

First day of CNY @ Taipo Centre

The CNY atmosphere at Hong Kong is FANTASTIC!!! :D Most of the shops are actually still opened on the first day of CNY...which is kind of different from Singapore where most of the shops will be closed then. It feels really good to be there at last.

And the most important of all is that I am reunited with my parents! :D Hahaha...nothing beats that family love in this festive season. *wink* :)

Day 1 (19 Feb) @ Macau [Part 1/3] -- Casinoes > Lisboa Hotel

MACAU!!! :DDThe uniqueness of Macau is that there are casinoes EVERYWHERE!!! Guess which animal year do I belong to? :PDaddy's and mummy's animal year are here too...lol
[Hint: They are standing next to them! :P]@ Lisboa Hotel, which is owned by the famous "King of Gambler" Stanley Ho
These are the ornaments placed along the corridors and lobby of the hotel.
The ornaments are simply manificent. Some of them even has very rich history background.
I feel like I have just enter a Chinese history museum more than a hotel...so cool...Even I don't stay here, I feel kinda superior just standing around this place...hahaha...lol This is the NEW Lisboa Hotel...only the casino section is opened yet as it is still under construction.
Strings of crystal are hanged around the ceiling of the pillars...very classy...
The hotel seems to have a theme on lotus or most probably a 风水阵 in which the Chinese believe to help to boost their luck and prosperity...
Macau is simply made up of casinoes. It is small and most of the places of interest can be reached within walking distances. I have not come to Macau for over 20 years. This is gonna be my first time going into the casinoes manz...YEAH!!! :PP

Day 1 @ Macau [Part 2/3] -- Senado Square

Macau Post / 大三巴 -- Heart of Macau / City Council of Macau Don't we look alike?! :P
[Background: Holy House of Mercy...another tourists attractions of Macau]
My first time watching fire crackers exploding!!!
The security has taken us by surprise as he ignites the fire crackers where the place is still packed with people. I only notice it when people suddenly shun away from the spot.
It is actually kinda scary in the process of capturing these photos as the noise is very loud and the smoke is choking even I was standing at a distance away.
It feels like those bomb explosions to me that you see on TV. Oh well, fire crackers ARE indeed explosives what...hahaha...lol
Senado Square! Can't recall the name of this church but it is one of those old catholic churches in Macau ever since it is under the rule of the Portugese in the 16th centuries. It is now opened like a museum to the public to visit.Lunch @ a Chinese restaurant that specialises in Guangzhou Shun De dishes
My mum's hometown is from Shun De (while dad and I are from Pan Yu)
Clockwise from top-left: Steamed egg with shredded meat & corn worms; Pork tongues stewed with pomelo skins; Fried fish mouths; and Deep-fried milk.
The dishes above, according to my parents, are rare to find nowadays as it needs lots of skills and time to cook them. The knowledge and skill has somehow faded over the years.
See the corn worm on the egg?
It actually taste like normal steamed egg and you would not have noticed the worms at all if no one mentions about it to you as they are very tiny.
Both my parents love this dishes a lot.
For me, I am not really a big fan of it as I still can't pass my own psychological barrier.

Day 1 @ Macau [Part 3/3] -- Ruins of St. Paul > Praia Grande at night

Ruins of St. PaulRuins of St. Paul / St. Paul's museum / 炮台山 (Fortress Hill)Overview of Macau
Macau is mainly comprises of low-rise houses in which majority still stays in its original design.
It looks kinda like a old but cozy small neighbourhood town from above.I like this photo as it shows winter is here (the barren trees in the background).
This is certainly something that you won't get from Singapore I supposed...lolCasino Royale! :DD
Old Lisboa Hotel at night (and the new Lisboa is right behind it)
Wynn Hotel
This hotel targets the upper class crowd with its superior interior design and branded shops...one of the strong rivalry of Stanley Ho's casinoes.
Musical fountain performance! Macau is like a miniature version of Las Vegas...a city that never sleeps...lol

Macao-Taipa Bridge at night and Macau Tower (on the right)

Macau night life is vibrant and really colourful. Along the bridge people are allowed to play with fireworks in Macau. You can really see fireworks almost every now and then.

The experience at the casino is very shocking. Some of the people at the casino play like there is no tomorrow. I never could understand how people are willing to place thousands of dollars on a single bet. I wonder if they know the tokens can be exchanged for real cash when they play the game. It feels like they are just tokens to them. Super high risk takers...

Dad and I play a little with no intention to take back the money we used. So we win a little and lose it back after a few rounds. Nevertheless it was fun. To me, it is all right to go casino and play as long as your mindset is not set to earn money from gambling. Treat it as a game for fun ONCE IN A WHILE ya? ;)

Day 2 (20 Feb) @ Macau -- Fisherman's Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf!Saw this lamp at one of the shops...beautiful isn't it? :DSands entertainment resorts / Macau's famous pork chop bun / Ferrari and raw crystal ore at a jewellery shop

Caught daddy in his candid shot! :P

Like this photo with the sea and the bridge in the background...so peaceful... :)

Border between China and Macau

Finally leave Macau after 2 days and 1 night. Enjoy this trip so much because it has been a very long time since my family goes on holiday together. Don't really wanna go but daddy needs to work the next day. Thank God for this wonderful trip. Thank God for these happy moments.

I will sure to be back again...yeah! lol

China Dongguan (21-25 Feb)

Back in my house in China.
Realise daddy's collection of alcohol has increased again...hahaha..."bribery"... :P Can't help feeling interested by this restaurant's swinging benches...cool...
But soon I realise I have to keep pretty still to finish my meal...hahah...lolDinner with Daddy's colleagues @ Wanhao HotelJapanese alar-carte buffet!
My favourite SASHIMI!!! :DD Their oysters is very fresh and delicious too.
And guess what each person only cost less than SGD30...super worth it!!! :DD
Dim Sum for breakfast with mummy @ Sanzheng Hotel
The hotel is located on the hill top and is very near to our house. The dim sum there is one of the best few that I have tasted in China so far...love it! :D
Lunch with daddy's new colleagues at the new factory
Somehow those colleagues back at Qingxi looks more friendly...or maybe we still don't know each other yet ba...hahaha...lol
Back at China house I spend most of my time watching the new dvds and the whole series of "Supernatural". I really tried to study with my lappy but like Joe says it is really hard to do so. The mood to study is really not present. Thank God for this wonderful break! :)
