Europe Trip: Holland > Amsterdam! (18/05/07)

Holland...and the famous windmill!!! :DDAmsterdam has ALWAYS been a very interesting place manz...I mean with its flower market and its red light district...hee hee...what a weird combination! :P This is the MAGIC mushroom shop. Spell it with me: M-A-G-I-C...you will know what it means if you juz have a taste of any of these mushrooms ba...which I don't think I will give it a try though...not for now... :PThe flower market!!! :DD

Flowers never fails to make girls happy, especially when you see tons of them together...BEAUTIFUL!!! *bleaming*The bridges across the canals of Amsterdam!

If you take a closer look at this picture, you will actually see 5 (or 7) bridges in the background...one after the other...hahaha...*proud of my artistic photo wor* :PThe canals in Amsterdam makes the town very unique indeed...but living here will probably cost you a bomb manz... :/ DHL Exprss Amsterdam!

You may have always seen the airplanes and lorries of DHL Express...but bet you seldom see a delivery boat like this before ba...hee...*triumphant smile* :)
One of the boathouses along the canal. They are all very well-designed houses literally floating on the river, attaching to it their own small boats.

Jelle, our Dutch tour guide, has stayed in one them for 8 years before which he claimed to be nice and cozy...but juz not for winter in which you will be freezing inside them...and highly expensive to live in...sigh... :X These are the leaning houses! They either lean forward or sideways...cool aren't they?

This photo is taken perfectly upright...so don't doubt my photographic skill here hor...*bleah* :P
Our coach brought us to a restaurant 30 mins away from Amsterdam for dinner.

The sea is so big that you juz can't see the other end of it...oh manz love staring at it... :) Our entry course -- Garden salad, Dutch cheese, fresh prawns and raw eel! *drool*

First time eating RAW eel...like having sashimi prepared in the English style...they taste really great manz...hahaha...lol
Our courses include the main dish, White Fish and chips, and the dessert, apple pie with a oversized portion of whipped cream above it...yummillicious!!! :D

Jelle also tried to demostrate to us how to eat a fresh, raw herring...I never know so much about eating raw fish besides sashimi before this trip lo...it's all worth it! :))The cozy little street of the place...really quiet at night...Windmill again...never have enough of it... :)

Amsterdam is unique and truly one of its kind places. How to say that? A part of it is gracefully remembered for its colourful flower market, where you get to see fresh tulips of all sort. Yet, the other part of this place is notorious for its vibrant red light district, a place well-remembered for its legal prostitution and drug selling. Honestly, isn't it sounds like a place with living with the angles and the devils? Beautiful and yet wild Amsterdam...
