Taiwan Youth Camp 2008 > The Taipei Tour! (8 - 9 July: Taipei 101, Wufenpu, Shilin Night Market)

Breakfast @ Rainbow Hotel, Taipei XimendingWe extended our stay for just one more day so we can tour around Taipei!Taipei 101!We took the train to the Taipei City Hall where all the government buildings, hotels and big shopping malls are located. This is such a well-developed place indeed! =))Me & Taipei 101!New York New York!New York New York is the shopping mall famous for the electronic gadgets!Still wants to go to New York? =PWalking to our main destination...Taipei 101...The closer you get, the harder you get to see the full view of the world's tallest building.Taipei 101 shopping mallHere's the place where all the world most renown brands gather: LV, Gucci, Chanel, CD, Prata, DeBree, Tiffany & Co etc....Can you still see Taipei 101 from the window?Reminds me of Paragon back in Singapore...The circle that shows the direction to the various countries in the world.I found Singapore! =DLunch @ Jason's Market Place!See my trophies from the supermarket? =PIt's WAGYU beef! =DD

This high quality beef is very expensive in Singapore too as the fats on the meat are evenly distributed. This small plate of beef already cost us S$30 for just about 200g! =X

Well, it is all worth it still...hehehe...lol *grinz*...juz look at my expression and you will know the answer...hahaha...lol *bleh*Taipei Sovenir Shop...my postcards! =DDGet to know that the salegirl here is from New Life Church and she couldn't participate in the camp because of her work. Well, just glad that God arranged this chance for us to meet too as we get to shared about the camp to her...what a pleasure! =DWalking out of Taipei 101...the icon of Taipei......remind you again that this is the world's TALLEST building!The familiar LOVE icon! =)L-O-V-E = LOVE! =DD Our shadows! =P
The art structure built in memory of those who have contributed to the construction of the Taipei 101...a very big and historical project indeed... =)A project to build the world's tallest building certainly involves many people...and even claiming lives of a number of them...Of course some of the highest leaders of Taiwan will be involved too... =)View of Taipei 101 from World Trade Centre!The flags of the different countries in the world...sadly to say Singapore flag is not around... =SOn our way back to the train station...Wanna play a chess game with us? =)One last look at Taipei 101 before heading off to Wufenpu for a round of shopping...hahaha...lolDinner @ Wufenpu...trying out the Taiwan braised meat rice...yummy! =)Back to Shilin Night Market for supper!Andy & Tina can't wait to get their hands on the famous Taiwan XXL crispy chicken chop!Hot snacks in Taiwan are really hard to resist manz... =P My most desired Mango Shaved Ice!
Breakfast @ Dunkin' DonutsWe waited for the shop open just to try their donuts...hahaha...lolThe vibrating alarm that alerts you when your order is ready for collection...innovative rite? =)My bagel! =DBack to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport...we took a bus here...Exhaustion from the camp is sinking in on everyone's face...Walking and shopping around the transit area for any sovenirs we might have left out.Our CI flight!Boading AreaWaiting and enjoying our time at the boarding area...almost fell asleep on the sofas around...The weather is perfect for taking off...thank God for this good weather! =DGoodbye Taipei!See me waving goodbye to the green patches below? =)
Going up into the clouds now...Still can see Taiwan from above... ...and the coastline of Taiwan...
...fading away at last...

I love staring out the airplane and look at the blue sea below. It always feel so good and relax at the sight of it...hehe...lol

I want to go back for the youth camp again next year.

Pray for me that my wish could come true. =)
