Approximately 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day and are collected at night. The money has been used to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's needy. However, there are regular attempts to steal coins from the fountain, including some using a magnetized pole.
Being the first time here, I follow the tradition of the coin throwing as well when I got to the fountain. Yet, unlike the version from Wikipedia (quoted above), the meaning of the number coins thrown is such that ONE coin: you will return to Rome; TWO coins: you will return with your boyfriend; and THREE coins: you will marry to an Italian man or woman!
So guess how many coins (The red circle) I threw into the fountain? :P
Dinning in Italy is like eating in paradise...with compliments of the Italian wines! :D
Love the Italian pasta!
Forgot the name of this pasta but it is NOT spaghetti! Again recommended by my DK travel guide, it is a spaghetti-like pasta that is hollow in the centre. If anyone is crazy enough...would you try drinking your soup or juice with this? Hahaha...lol *bleah*
The traditional Italian pizza! :D
I LOVE it manz as the crust is the thinnest I ever seen and super crispy! Imagine crispy roti prata with thick layer of food ingredient and mozeralla cheese on top? Awww...so yummy!
The ancient buildings around Rome at night look majestic under the dim light...and also a little spooky too....woooh....lol
Finally arrive at Colosseum agian...at night!
Although Colosseum has already closed, exterior of Colosseum looks even more stunning at night with the lights shining from every 'window'. The combination of the greyish wall and orange lights makes it look a little stern and cold.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiLOD3Q__nD5Q5b1oGTK9-ajJXBuRFm6usa_N1wUFDqL3Uth_CLveS-tEEVDTtTLZZTgS59lR_zCMCEkdWkQQwVmV6VeTG1EYTwabY7iw5xb-RCwEYuN3Ffv7qIzMhKaNZF79b/s400/DSCN4803.JPG)
Thank God for making my dreams come true! :))
