Growing old with you...

Watching Teri & Ian, being eliminated from the Amazing Race is kinda saddening to me. I like this old couple lots ever since they ran on the previous race. And what impresses me most is their relationship and love for each other.

Very often you get to see the pairs in the Amazing Race will come across conflicts when things go wrong for them. Teri & Ian is of no exception. But what I like about them is that at the end of the race, whether they win or not, they will still appreciate the presence of the other person. Those words is really sentimental, touching and inspiring.

Quoted from this episode after they were eliminated, this is what they commented:

"We're going home to our families, our children, to continue a great life. Teri's the love of my life. She's always been there for me. I wouldn't want to be in life without her." Ian remarked.

To this wonderful sentiment, Teri simply added. "Ian loves me like no one else can."

Time may not be the best unit of measurement for love and relationship. But time certainly plays a great role in the understanding of one another, and the appreciation you have for the other person to be in your life.

At least, this is true for Teri & Ian.

Well, isn't it just wonderful to have someone travelling around the world with you, overcoming obstacles together, and at the end of the day you can share all your joys and your sorrows together, laughing your heads off and having a comfy shoulder to lean on? And the best of it is to be able to grow old together with that person, looking at each other's wrinkled face and spending the rest of your days reminiscing about the things you do together in the past?

Well done guys! *wink* :)
