The field near Stonehenge has quite a number of sheeps roaming freely...so relax!
Stonehenge!
It was a little disappointing as I was expecting the stonehenge to be as tall as the Roman Forum...and well it is juz about 2-storey level high... =S
The only way to understand what the whole stonehenge is about is through the audio guide given to us. You will notice there are markings everywhere on the ground. Just follow them in numerical order as you make your circle around the stones... 
Although these stones are not tall, their formation and how the ancient people can manage to stack them up in such weird position are still mysteries till now...how amazing...
There are also some pillar of stones placed outside the circle and the shallow trench drawn around the stonehenges. 
What the scholars believe is that stonehenge was used as a sundial, very complicated one, in the ancient times. It probably does not just tell the people the timing of the day, but also the season, the months and even the weather...hmmm....
I am glad I had visited one of the world heritage places again!
I wonder if those red fields are actually made up by red flowers? That will be quite beautiful right? =D
We took a local tour just to travel all the way here to see the stonehenge...so nevertheless more photos should be taken to make the whole trip more worthwhile right? =P
