Punggol Jetty...contd

Staircase to board the boats.Everything is beautiful here at the jetty...EXCEPT that you will not want to swim in such contaminated water...yucks! :SSpotted a kelong far off the beach...reminds me of the Kukup trip...*bleam*I love the sunset and the quietness of this beach...*peace* :)
This is the memorial plague in memory of the Chinese civilians who were massacred during the Japanese Occupation in 1942. The plague was scripted into 4 languages -- English, Chinese, Malay and Hindu.
There are articles that had shown skeletons and parts of the Chinese civilians killed here can still be found on the beach...you can imagine how many people were slaughtered here...*shudder*

Overwhelm with strange feelings on the bus journey back home...glad that I have come here today. :)

I just love beaches, and feeling of the sea breeze blowing at your face. It feels peaceful and soothing. It takes your mind off your tiredness, your stress and everything else that this simple yet complicated world can give.

I love nature because of their originality. Where many things have changed over the decades -- places, technologies, human beings -- the nature remains its natural beauty and its innocence.

It reminds us to remember our source...and to appreciate and give thanks to God who give us all these things. Because everything is created by God and belongs to Him. This is what the Chinese says: “饮水思源”.

I think I will be back some day. :)
