Holy Spirit

I didn't go to the service tonight but I watched it on the live webcast online. This is the second time I used the live webcast to watch the service. The first time left me with quite a bad impression of the video as there are quite a lot of technical problems and it is pretty frustrating to see the video keep jerking here and there. But this time there is no problem at all! In fact, I watched the whole sermon just the same as I would have watched the screen at Expo there! Thank God for this great improvement for the live webcast! :D

Rev Dr Ulf Ekman, being pastor Kong mentor as well, is one great preacher for sure. He is pretty funny and not like the serious or monotone kind that I thought he would be like. He can really capture your attention and deliver the message clearly enough.

Tonight he talks about Holy Spirit in our life. Everything we do in our life has to deal with the Holy Spirit. We need to learn to live the life of the Holy Spirit...and ONLY through the love for God and Jesus that we will understand Holy Spirit and to flow with it.

Remember the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22? Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control? These are the characters of Jesus. He is the one whom God send to us and born in the Holy Spirits.

The first time I speak in tongues the feeling was kinda funny as we don't emphasize on the Holy Spirit in the Anglican churches (different doctrine). But like Rev Ulf says, the spirits will manifest in our lifes so that we can be more like Jesus. It is not there to make us look funny. If you are a spritual being, you WILL be attracted by spiritual things around you for you will want what they have there. (John 14:15-17)

It is really great to watch it on the live webcast...but I believe it is even greater to be there to listen to the message preached by Rev Ulf. For those who are interested to take a look at the live webcast, you can go to http://www.chc.org.sg and click on the 'Live Webcast' icon from the website ya? :) The service will start at 10am and ends around 1pm. This is going to be a wonderful weekend! :D

"If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever -- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." ~ John 14:15-17
